Encouragement: Start Again

Something the Lord was pressing on my heart today is that there is Grace to start again. Sometimes the pain or shame we feel where we are keeps us from getting up again and going in God's direction for our lives. Fear tells us we'll be hurt again. Condemnation says we'll fail again. Insecurity tells us we'll look foolish again, so what's the point? But these are all lies we must reject in order to walk in the Truth.

We serve a God who is so full of Grace, a Father who tenderly loves us and wants us to succeed in our obedience. He is not embarrassed or ashamed by us. He doesn't grow irritable or weary of encouraging His children. So whether you need to start something again or have a completely fresh start, know that His Grace is ready and waiting.

My prayer is that, whatever the case, we will start in the direction of the Lord and keep on going in that direction for as long as He should lead. Lord help us to pursue, persist, and press onwards with patience & boldness. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Encouraging Scriptures:

Psalm 18:65 - You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, And Your right hand upholds me; And Your gentleness makes me great.

Isaiah 43:1 - But now, thus says the LORD, your Creator, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!

2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Isaiah 43:18-19 - "Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. "Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.
